1. Who do you call to report an irrigation problem such as broken sprinkler heads?

Report any irrigation problems on city-owned property to 303.438.6334 or if after hours, contact Broomfield Police Department at 303.438.6400.

2. Where can I drop off my tree and shrub branches from my yard?

The Tree Branch Recycle Program Drop site is at the Broomfield Recycle Center, 225 Commerce Street. This is for Broomfield residents only and an ID is required. There is no charge for drop-off.

3. What are the hours of operation for the Tree Recycle Program?

The drop off site hours of operation are:
Wednesday - 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

4. Is there FREE mulch available to residents?

Yes, the mulch is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the new Tree Branch Recycling Center, 2990 W. 124th Ave. on the east side of the entrance.. Bring your shovel and take as much as you need—there is no limit! 

5. What does Broomfield use for weed control in the parks?

We use the safest products available. For most lawn weeds, we use 2,4-D, which is the same as Ortho Weed-B-Gone that you can purchase at any home/garden store. In non-turf areas, we use Roundup Pro.

6. When is water available for my dog at the city dog park?

Water for pets is available between April 15 through October 15.

7. How do I rent a park or shelter?

Go to the Parks home page and select the "Rent a Park" tab on the left side of the page. From here you will be able to make your reservations. You may also call the Central Reservation Line at 303.464.5509. Parks Home Page

8. What do the Park Services contractors use to spray for weeds?

The contractors working for Park Services are required to use the same chemicals that Park Services uses, which are the safest products available. Parks are open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Park Services fertilizes the park system twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall.

12. Do you have a LOST AND FOUND for items left in a park?

Yes. For smaller items such as articles of clothing, toys, etc., you can check with Recreation Services at the Community Center at 280 Spader Way (303.464.5501). For larger/expensive items, such as cell phones, bicycles, etc., you can check with the Police Department at 3 DesCombes Dr. (303.438.6400).

13. Are there any places to fish in Broomfield?

Yes. The Trails at Westlake Pond, Tom Frost Reservoir, and Josh's Pond are stocked with Large Mouth Bass, Channel Catfish and Bluegill. A fishing license is required. Fishing in Broomfield
