The City and County of Broomfield Parks Division is subdivided into eight different maintenance responsibilities:

  • Horticulture
  • Forestry
  • Irrigation
  • Mowing and Trimming
  • Athletic Facilities
  • Structural and Playground Maintenance
  • Cemetery Grounds Maintenance
  • Open Space Maintenance

These separate entities work together to perform the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Broomfield's parks, athletic fields, landscaped rights-of-way and shelters. Broomfield’s Park Services Division is dedicated to providing beautiful and safe facilities and parks for the enjoyment of residents and visitors.

  1. The City and County of Broomfield has been informed about Avian Flu infections in some of our bird populations.

Our staff is working with Colorado Parks and Wildlife to take appropriate measures to keep our community and other wildlife safe.
While the human health risks from Avian Flu are low according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, CPW recommends that people do not touch dead or diseased wild birds and do not let your pets near them or their droppings.
For more information on Avian Flu and to report dead or diseased birds, please visit www.broomfield.org/AvianFlu.
