Teen Volunteer Match Event! Wednesday, April 22
Teens! Come find a meaningful volunteer opportunity at our upcoming Teen Volunteer Match event on Wednesday, April 22, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Broomfield Community Center. Meet with 20 different nonprofits who will be promoting teen volunteer opportunities in your community. Reservations are not required, but if you complete the RSVP you will get a reminder about the event and info about teen opportunities after the event.
Adopt A Street (businesses and groups)
Adopt a Street is a program great for businesses or groups. Businesses/groups commit to quarterly clean-up projects. Groups can select which street they'd like to adopt as well as the date and time for their project.
To register for Adopt an Open Space, go to VolunteerHub, click on the Adopt A Street event listing for the month of your project and click the blue Sign Up button. Then complete your application/registration. For questions, email adoptastreet@broomfield.org
Broomfield Depot Museum Volunteer Tour Guide (ages 16+)
Do you enjoy interacting with the public and showing other people your passion for history? Then apply to be a Broomfield Depot Museum Volunteer Tour Guide! History Collections (ages 14+)
Volunteers will work with historic artifacts and gain hands-on experience in researching, cataloging, digitizing and making the history collections accessible to the public. This position is invaluable for those who wish to learn more about Broomfield History and/or gain experience in future career fields such as museum studies, library science, historic preservation, art history, public history and non-profit management.

Snow Pals (ages 18+ or under age 18 with a parent/guardian)
Sign up to be a Snow Pal today and keep a neighbor in need safe this winter! By volunteering to shovel snow, you help create a safe environment to leave the house and reduce stress for Broomfielders in need. It will mean the world to a neighbor!

Earth Day Volunteer Opportunities (ages 16+)
Make a difference and get your hands dirty this Earth Day by volunteering at the Broomfield Earth Day Celebration Saturday, April 18! Volunteers will provide general event support, assist with activity stations and engage with event participants.

English Language Learning Tutors (ages 18+)
Make a difference in the lives of others! Volunteers will help non-native English speakers build their English skills and strengthen their conversational confidence by tutoring participants in a one-on-one setting on a variety of subjects pertinent to daily living.

Greeter for Adult Library Programs (ages 13+)
Help the Library succeed as a greeter for different adult programs offered at the Library. Volunteers can assist with:
- Program Set Up: assist library staff with the room and activity set up, which may include setting up the activity stations, moving chairs, arrange activity materials, hang clothes and more.
- Event Greeter: greet attendees and offer a short overview of the program structure, activity instructions, or program guidelines. Detailed instructions will be provided on the day of the program. Past programs include: House Plant Swap, Winter Open House, and crafting activities.

Teen Ambassador Board (TAB) (ages 11+)
The Teen Ambassador Board (TAB) is a fun, enthusiastic group for grades 6-12 that meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month and helps make the Broomfield Library a teen-friendly place. The group discusses ideas related to the library as well as general teen-related topics. You can attend up to two meetings to see if the group is a good fit, then inform the board leader whether you would like to become an official member! Coyote Crew (ages 18+)
Coyote Crew members assist Broomfield Open Space and Trails (OST) staff in educating community members on how to coexist with coyotes. This volunteer opportunity primarily involves hosting an educational table or canvassing with materials on coyote coexistence best practices in neighborhoods/open spaces that have had coyote encounters.

Intern Opportunity with the Investigations Team (ages 16+)

The objective of the internship program in the Investigations Unit is to provide the student with a hands-on opportunity to experience the day-to-day operations of a Detective in an Investigation Division. The intern is generally scheduled during the weekday (Monday - Friday, 7 a.m.-4 p.m.). The intern must have a tie to the Broomfield community, i.e., live or have immediate family living in Broomfield, or be enrolled in school in or near Broomfield. The intern will be required to pass an integrity interview and background check. The intern is expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner that will reflect well upon the individual as well as the Broomfield Police Department. Victim Advocates (ages 21+)
Volunteers assist the Victim Advocates team with providing on-scene crisis intervention in person and/or by phone to primary and secondary victims of crime, and survivors of traumatic events that occurred within the City and County of Broomfield. The Victim Advocate Academy is scheduled for Sept. 8-25.

Therapeutic Recreation Special Olympics Volunteer (Ages 15+)
With summer just around the corner, you can help enhance recreation opportunities for people of all ability levels and ages to participate in leisure activities by signing up as a Special Olympics volunteer. You can support a variety of activities including soccer, track and field and swim team! You must have some knowledge of the sport you choose to support. Recreation Youth Sports Volunteer Coaches (ages 18+)
Combine your love of sports and working with kids as a volunteer youth coach! Coaches will lead weekly practices along with games. Volunteer Support for Utility Rate Meetings (ages 18+)
The volunteer will be stationed at a table in the Fireside Lounge and help residents sign in for a consultation. The volunteer will answer any
general questions about the programs offered, and send residents into the Burns room when it is their turn to apply with one of our Housing Division team members. Training will be provided and staff are on hand to assist if needed.
