inventHQ is Broomfield Library's makerspace. It is a place to invent, learn, play and build community. Programming is offered for all ages and a wide variety of interests. Tools are available for laser engraving and cutting, 3D printing, digital embroidery, sewing, vinyl cutting, small board electronics projects and more!

inventHQ is free and open to all - no library card or residency required.

Drop-in Open Hours at inventHQ

There is no registration required for Open Hours - stop by for a tour to meet the staff, who can help you get started on a project or learn a new skill.  inventHQ supplies a limited amount of free materials for getting started. Ages under 12 need an adult with them during their visit.

Fill out a waiver in advance before your first visit.

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2 – 7 p.m.
  • Fridays & Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

View the Library Closure Calendar to see if the makerspace is closed for a holiday or other event.

Private Events

Are you looking for a space to host a private event or party? As a space dedicated to serving the whole community, inventHQ does not currently have capacity to host private events. The City and County of Broomfield has rooms available to rent for various types of events and activities through B-REx. Small groups (up to 8 people) are welcome to visit inventHQ during Open Hours with an understanding that machines are first come, first served and staff are available to assist all patrons in the space equitably as time allows.
