The revised distribution plan makes people 65-69, along with child care providers in licensed child care programs and pre-K-12 educators eligible for COVID-19 vaccination starting Feb 8. Frontline essential workers and people ages 16-64 with two or more high risk health conditions will be eligible for vaccinations starting around March 5.
Those who are 65-69 are asked to follow the same procedures as those in the 70+ group by visiting the state website to find a provider and access their sign-up forms.
School districts are already setting up partnerships with local health systems to provide vaccination to staff, so educators should work through their school district to find out more information.
While it is exciting to be entering for the next phase of vaccinations, there is still an extremely limited supply of vaccine, meaning that even once a priority group becomes eligible, they may not be contacted immediately for an appointment. Visit covid19.colorado.gov to learn more.
