The City and County of Broomfield holds annual closures of its recreation centers each year to conduct deep cleaning of the facilities, make repairs where needed and complete work that cannot be completed during operational hours for safety reasons so that the facilities stay in prime condition for residents’ use. These closures for 2025 will be:
- Broomfield Community Center: closed for maintenance from Monday, Aug. 11 - Sunday, Aug. 17 and will resume normal business hours on Monday, Aug. 18 unless otherwise noted. This closure applies to all areas including equipment, pools, fitness studios, gyms and track and conference rooms and Lakeshore banquet room.
- Paul Derda Recreation Center: closed for maintenance from Monday, Aug. 25 - Monday, Sept. 1 and will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 2 unless otherwise noted. This closure applies to all areas including equipment, pools, fitness studios, gyms and track and conference rooms, etc. The Early Learning program is the only exception and more information will be provided directly to families involved in this program.
