A Guard dog is described as any dog disciplined to protect persons and/or property by attacking or threatening to attack any person found within the area authorized to be patrolled by such dog.
Guard Dog Licenses expire March 1 each year. The annual fee for a guard dog license is $1.00.
Once the completed application is returned to the City Clerk's Office with the applicable fee, an Animal Control Officer will visit the facility to complete an inspection. When the application is processed, the new license will be sent in the mail approximately one week after the inspection.
