To Schedule an Inspection

Please Call 303-438-6376 and press option 1 to use the automated inspection line. You must have a permit number (numerics only) and a 3-digit inspection code (numerics only). The permit number can be found on the top right-hand corner of the permit card and begins with BP. The inspection codes can be found on the inspection card under Required Inspections and next to the name of your inspection. Please note that the phone system will only give you four business days to choose from. If there is no availability for all four days, please call us at 303-438-6370, option 5, to assist you.

If the desired inspection is not listed on your permit card, then you will not be able to schedule it. Please call us at 303-438-6370 option 5 if you believe an inspection is missing from your permit card.

Scheduled Inspections

 All inspection requests must be received by the Building Division before 11 pm the day before the requested day to be scheduled for the following business day. Next-day inspections are not guaranteed. The schedule fills up fast so please plan accordingly to get your inspection scheduled. The inspection time cannot be prearranged or guaranteed, however, you may review the Daily Inspection List on the day of your inspection. The list will refresh as the day goes on. If you need a more precise time frame, please call 303-438-6370, option 5 between 8:00 am and 8:30 am to talk to your inspector. 

Scheduled inspections must be ready on the day requested, or a $150.00 re-inspection fee may be assessed. The re-inspection fee must be paid before rescheduling the inspection. If you find that you are not ready for a scheduled inspection, please call 303-438-6370, option 5 before 8:30 am on the day of your inspection. 

To Cancel an Inspection

Please call 303-438-6370, option 5 to cancel a same-day inspection.  Contractors can use the Online Portal to cancel inspections any day before the scheduled inspection day. A $150.00 Cancellation fee will be assessed by the Building Division for inspections that are canceled after 8:30 am on the day of the inspection. Same-day cancellations made before 8:30 am will not be subject to a cancellation fee.

Inclement Weather 

Should we experience inclement weather and our offices be closed or have a delayed opening, your inspection may be canceled by our office. Be sure to reschedule your inspection as inspections will not be rolled over to the next day. 

Engineer Letters 

Engineer inspections require an original signed and sealed inspection report submitted to the Building Division by email at buildingpermits@broomfield.org before rough and final inspections are scheduled.
