Teen Zone Art Board: Anyone ages 11-19 can submit photos of original artwork to libraryprograms@broomfield.org to be put on display in the library's Teen Zone on the second floor. New artwork is posted on the first Monday of each month so the Teen Advisory Board can vote on an Artist of the Month. Winners of this award receive a prize!

If you’re in grades 6-12 and you need a place for some quiet, after-school study or decompress time, the library has space for you! You can study with fellow students, pop in your ear buds and destress, or use the time in whichever way you see fit. The best part? Free snacks are provided! Drop in anytime during the session. 

FREE Boost Your Brain Tutoring

Need a little left-brain power in math or science? The Library has you covered! Boost Your Brain Tutoring takes place VIRTUALLY on Tuesdays throughout the school year (September-May) for grades 6-12 and GED students ages 18 and under.

HOW IT WORKS: Tutoring sessions take place virtually through Google Meet (ONE 45-minute session per student each week). The Google Meet link will be delivered in the reminder email on the day of your tutoring session. Call 720.887.2360 up to one week in advance to schedule an appointment for one of the following time frames:

  • 4:30 - 5:15 p.m.
  • 5:20 - 6:05 p.m.
  • 6:10 - 6:55 p.m.

SUBJECTS:  Algebra, Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Geometry, Physics ... and more!

WHAT YOU NEED: Computer with webcam, homework assignment(s), textbook/class notes, paper & pencils, notebooks, access code/password for your school website (if needed)

Want to be involved at the library? Join the Teen Advisory Board (TAB)! Drop in on any *first or third Monday of the month from 4 - 5 p.m. to see if you'd like to become a member. Here are just a few things that TAB members do:

  • Attend teen events put on by the library
  • Suggest items to include in the library's collection
  • Help create displays
  • Offer personal perspectives about teen matters
  • Put on the annual Murder Mystery Dinner Theater event in October (always a blast!)
  • Have FUN at meetings!

*Bonus: Each meeting counts as an hour of volunteer/community service!
