Meals on Wheels is a program that delivers fresh, hot and nutritious meals to your home by volunteers, Monday through Friday, between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. If you need meals for the weekend, frozen meals are available for delivery on Friday. Broomfield Meals on Wheels is an official member of Meals on Wheels America.
Meals on Wheels Eligibility

Broomfield residents 60 years or older, at any income level, who are homebound and/or live alone, and are unable to prepare meals for themselves, are eligible for this service.
Caregiving family members who reside at the same address may also qualify for Meals on Wheels.
Individuals under the age of 60 may qualify with a medical referral. Short-term or temporary service with a minimum of five days is available for those individuals recuperating from a recent hospitalization and/or serious illness.
Service Policy
A short phone intake is conducted before receiving meals. Service is available on a short-term basis or over a prolonged period. Service will begin within 24 business hours.
Meal Delivery
If you are receiving Meals on Wheels deliveries, any changes or cancellations regarding meal delivery must be provided a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
- If an individual does not answer when delivery is attempted, a Senior Services staff member will be notified.
- A follow-up will be conducted by the Broomfield Police Department if we are unable to reach your emergency contact on file.
