Medical programs provide health insurance and/or benefits for low and moderate income households.

Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) 

Public low-cost health insurance for certain children and pregnant women. CHP+ is for people who earn too much to qualify for Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid Program), but not enough to pay for private health insurance. CHP+ costs vary depending on your household size and income. CHP+ members have to pay an annual enrollment fee. Some CHP+ clients may also have to pay co-pays to their health care provider at the time of service. For additional information visit the Department of Health Care Policy & Financing website . Health First Colorado (Medicaid) 

A public health insurance for low-income families, children, pregnant women, persons who are blind or disabled, and the elderly. Learn More at the Health First Colorado Website.

Home and Community Based Services (HCBS Waivers):

A waiver is an extra set of benefits you could qualify for in certain cases. These benefits allow you to remain in your home and community. Waivers have extra program rules and some programs have waitlists. For additional information on waivers and programs click on the links below. 

Long Term Care

Offers nursing facility care, home and community-based services in which medical providers come into the home to render the necessary services to keep a disabled individual from being institutionalized in a nursing facility or a hospital.

Medicare Savings Program (MSP)

Assists individuals with limited income and resources pay for some or all of their Medicare deductibles and coinsurance. Colorado residents may apply for this program if they have Medicare.
