Duplicate Registration and Tab Replacement

If you have lost your registration you can obtain a duplicate from your Motor Vehicle office or go to mydmv.colorado.gov. 

The following is required:

  • The License Plate Number
  • Valid Identification
  • Last 8 digits of the VIN

Plate Replacement

If a plate replacement is needed, this can be completed online at mydmv.colorado.gov or in person.

A completed  DR 2283 ,Affidavit for Lost or Stolen License Plates/permits, is required.

If the license plate is stolen, a  police report is recommended.
