Fireworks Information

Most fireworks are prohibited in the City and County of Broomfield. Any device that explodes or leaves the ground on its own power is ILLEGAL. Violators that use, possess, or sell prohibited fireworks could face a minimum fine of $100 up to $1,000.  Read the full ordinance. 

LEGAL fireworks include:

• Toy Caps 
• Sparklers
• Trick Noisemakers
• Toy Smoke Devices 

For everyone's safety, the Broomfield Police Department and the North Metro Fire Rescue District recommend residents leave fireworks to the professionals.

• Please remember that law enforcement agencies must prioritize emergency calls over fireworks enforcement, so please be patient as patrol officers work to respond to your request as quickly as possible.
