Utility Billing Rates

Your utility bill consists of one or more of the following:

Billing Process

All utility accounts are billed in arrears (approximately 1-2 weeks behind) on a monthly basis, covering roughly 28-35 days of service.

Monthly bills are processed on Thursdays and are due on the Friday occurring 15 calendar days afterward.

Billing of water/sewer service is divided into four (4) cycles, as determined by the location of the property within Broomfield.

  • Cycle 1 is billed on the 1st Thursday of the month
  • Cycle 2 is billed on the 2nd Thursday of the month
  • Cycle 3 is billed on the 3rd Thursday of the month
  • Cycle 4 is billed on the 4th Thursday of the month
NOTE: All new accounts must be active for at least 15 calendar days before a bill will be issued.

Broomfield's Utility Enterprise Funds Update

Broomfield staff is currently recommending increased rates for the enterprise funds (water, sewer and stormwater) to cover the costs of providing respective services to customers. Visit the Recommendations Proposed page within the Broomfield's Utility Enterprise Funds website to see an overview of the proposed increases related to each fund and a proposal for adding a dedicated funding mechanism for a stormwater enterprise fund.
