The Broomfield Recycling Center at 225 Commerce St. is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for Broomfield residents ONLY (no business recycling or non-residents, please).

Residential Trash and Recycling

New waste and recycling services are coming to Broomfield in 2025! The program will increase recycling and diversion of waste away from landfills, while providing efficient services and good value for customers. For more information, visit the Broomfield Residential Waste Services page.

Building Materials Donation with Resource Central

Broomfield residents (homeowners and contractors) can donate unwanted new or used building materials by scheduling a Thursday Pickup with Resource Central.

Paper Shredding Event

Broomfield residents can bring confidential tax, medical, bank, and other forms for safe and secure destruction. Limit of three boxes (banker's or copy paper boxes weighing no more than 35 lbs. per box) per resident. Shred-It will also take up to three 32-gallon trash bags of already shredded paper.

The 2026 Spring Shred-it event will be on Saturday, April 25, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Norman Smith Service Center, 3001 W. 124th Ave.
