Parties, Groups and Rentals
Birthday parties at the Paul Derda Rec Center are now available.
We look forward to reopening The Broomfield Bay Aquatic Park for Summer 2021. Reservations will be available for Groups and After Hours Parties beginning February 1st for Residents and March 1st for Non-Residents. Reservations for Birthday Parties will begin May 1st.
Park Shelters are available for events AFTER April 5, 2021. Requests are reviewed in the order they are received and are allocated and processed based upon available space, but are not guaranteed.
BCC Meeting Rooms are available for events between March and August 2021.
Reservations for the BCC Lakeshore Banquet packages are continuously open, scheduling up to 2 years out.

Verification of residency is required to receive resident rates for reservations. Residency status is valid for two years and may be obtained in person at Broomfield Community Center or Paul Derda Rec Center.
How Do I Prove My Residency?
Those who wish to purchase any RESIDENT card or pass are required to show a photo ID and two of the following documents with a correct name, current date and current Broomfield address to verify residency to a Recreation Services employee at the Paul Derda Rec Center or the Broomfield Community Center.

- Statement From Major Creditor
- Recent Broomfield County Tax Notice

The Bay Aquatic Park
Join us this summer at Broomfield's outdoor water park, designed for families and children ages 1-13 years. The Bay features two exciting body slides, an inner tube slide, leisure pool with zero–depth entry, and an interactive water play structure. There is also a newly remodeled tot pool with slides, spray ground, restrooms, and large grass and picnic and rental areas. Meet your friends and neighbors for a picnic on the lawn or enjoy a snack from the concession stand. Enjoy time with your family all summer long with fun in the sun.

Reservations for Groups and After Hours Parties will be processed, first come first serve, according to the following schedule:

Reservations for Birthday Parties will be processed, first come first serve, beginning May 1st, 2021. For more information and to submit a request, please visit B-REx.com (Click on Facilities and select Birthday Party under Reserve). Requests are processed in the order they are received and booked based on availability. Reservation is not final until you have received confirmation from Broomfield Recreation Services.
The Broomfield Bay is excited to offer group rates to summer groups with more than ten paying participants. Group rates are approximately 10% off of the daily admission rates, according to the “residency” of the group.
To make a group reservation, please complete the Group Reservation Request and Group Agreement. Requests may be submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Questions may be directed to 303.464.5509. Please select Option #4.
Permits are contingent upon Covid numbers and Public Health Guidelines on the date of the event. CCOB reserves the right to withdraw a permit at any time.
Group dates will be available for Mondays through Fridays in July and August. Groups may reserve up to a total of 50 people (including adult supervisors) for 2 dates each month. A group will be assigned either a morning OR an afternoon pool time, which will be indicated on the permit.
AFTER HOURS PARTIES
Join us at The Broomfield Bay for a private After Hours Party! Your family, school or organization will enjoy private access to our pools, aquatic features and park, without the hassle of everyday crowds.
After Hours parties are available on Saturday and Sunday evenings from 6:30-10 pm. The pools and aquatic features are available for use until dusk during After Hours Parties and guests are welcome to stay in the park until 10pm. After Hours parties may enter the park no earlier than 6:30pm to begin set up for their event.
To reserve an After Hours party, please complete the After Hours Reservation Request and Agreement. Requests may be submitted by email to email@example.com. Questions may be directed to 303.464.5509. Please select Option #4.

At this time, we can reserve up to 150 people for After Hours parties. Please maintain an attendance record for possible contact tracing if needed. A minimum of two weeks notice is required on any changes to the reservation, including increasing the number of guests allowed under Covid guidelines.
Rooms at the Broomfield Community Center
The Broomfield Community Center (BCC) is an excellent choice for your next event, no matter how large or small. This community-centered building offers casual multi-purpose rooms, formal meeting rooms, and elaborate banquet rooms all under one roof. With ample parking and beautiful views, the BCC is the best spot in Broomfield for your event.
All room reservations at the BCC include tables and chairs, as well as WiFi access. Additional amenities are available for some rooms, such as Lakeshore. For more information on BCC rooms, click here.
All room reservations for the Broomfield Community Center are processed through B-REx.com. (Click on Facilities and select the type of space under Reserve.)
Parties at the Paul Derda Recreation Center
Celebrate at the Paul Derda Recreation Center and take advantage of our party package which includes the use of our Ponderosa party room, located directly off of the pool area and conveniently equipped with refrigerators, sinks, and microwaves. All party packages include a party room for up to 15 people for 2 hours and use of the pool for 1.5 hours:
11:00 am - 1:00 pm (pool time 11 am - 12:30 pm) (MAY)
10:30 am - 12:30 pm (pool time 10:30 am - 12 pm) (JUNE)
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm (pool time 2 pm - 3:30 pm) (MAY/JUNE)
5:30 pm - 7:30 pm (pool time 6 pm - 7:30 pm) SAT ONLY (MAY/JUNE)
- Indoor Aquatic Park with inner tube and body slides, waterfalls, and interactive play structure.
- Indoor Playground (for kids 7 and younger) where kids feel like they’re in a friendly forest.
Basic Party Packages
Broomfield County residents who wish to book a birthday party must have a current Resident ID Card. Please see Passes and Fees for a description on how to obtain one.
Family Rec Pass holders get a 20% discount on their Basic Party Package Rental. Individual Rec Pass holders get a 10% discount on their Basic Party Package Rental.* The rental includes all guests - adults and children.

Daycares, school groups or other organized groups of 10 or more paying individuals can receive an approximate 10% discount off the appropriate daily fee by making a group reservation in advance. To reserve a group, return the completed Group Reservation Request and Confirmation to the Paul Derda Recreation Center, Efax it to 303-410-3819, or email it to PDRCrental@broomfield.org. Please note, there are a limited number of groups are allowed each day. Requests are processed in the order they are received and booked based on availability. Reservation is not final until you have received confirmation from Broomfield Recreation Services.
Paul Derda Recreation Center Food Policy
Please do not bring full meals to the recreation center unless you have a room reservation. Cake, ice cream, cupcakes, pizza, party subs and any other similar foods are only permitted with a room rental. Glass containers are not allowed in the facility. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome. Coolers will be checked.
Parks and Park Shelters
Broomfield has over 281 miles of trails, more than 700 acres of developed parks and 45 playgrounds. This is 16 acres of available outdoor active living for every 1,000 citizens. If you like to take your dog to the park, please read our leash law policy.
Reservation requests for the upcoming year can be made beginning at 8am on January 2nd. Broomfield County Commons and West Interlocken Park Shelters are available for requests after March 1st with limited availability.

Questions may be directed to the Broomfield Reservation Line 303.464.5509. **If you wish to have alcohol at your event, a separate Alcohol Permit must be completed and returned with the Park Reservation Request form**. Requests are processed in the order they are received and booked based on availability. Reservation is not final until you have received confirmation from Broomfield Recreation Services.
Reservations are not transferable between facilities/shelters. A facility/shelter change, date change, or change in contract holder will result in a cancellation and rebooking of reservation following the cancellation policy outlined below. All other changes requiring a new permit for a reservation, i.e. adding/reducing hours or adding an alcohol permit, will incur a $15 Administrative fee. Additional fees may apply.
Cancellations made two weeks or more prior to the event will forfeit 50% of the total reservation fee. Cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the event will forfeit 100% of the total reservation fee.
Broomfield has fourteen tennis courts for the public to use. Fees are $6 per hour, per court for Broomfield residents and $20 per hour, per court for non-residents.
Tennis Reservations can be made online at select courts at B-Rex.com. Please call the facility reservation line if you have questions about your reservation at 303-464-5509. Reservations for the year can be requested beginning March 1 of the current year. A 24-hour notice is required.
Brandywine Park, Wildgrass Park, Northmoor Park, and Zang Spur Park tennis courts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis 7 am - 9 am.
The following tennis court locations are available for online reservations:
- Brandywine Park, (2) courts, 9 am - 8 pm, Monday through Friday
- Wildgrass Park (2) courts, 9 am - 8 pm, Monday through Friday
- Northmoor Park, (2) courts, 9 am - 4 pm, Monday through Friday
- Zang Spur Park, (2) courts, 9 am - 4 pm, Monday through Friday
Community Park, (4) courts, is NOT available for online reservations
- Tennis courts will be a first-come, first-serve basis unless otherwise noted.
- Community Park tennis courts are available for public usage currently, at the following schedule:
Monday, June 8 - Friday, June 12: 7 am - 10 pm
Monday, June 15 - Thursday, August 13: 1 pm - 10 pm
Saturdays and Sunday, June 14 - August 16: 6 am - 10 pm
Athletic Field Rentals
At this time, fields are allocated according to current Covid numbers and guidelines from State and County Public Health. We cannot guarantee specific field availability or dates. The City and County of Broomfield reserves the right to withdraw a permit at any time.
As of Monday, February 8, 2021, we are accepting limited athletic field or athletic facility requests for activities occurring AFTER March 21, 2021.
Our current outdoor capacity guidelines allow no more than 25 players per field, excluding coaches or officials. Spectators must adhere to outdoor event guidelines. Players not actively participating in the event will be counted in the spectator count.
