A woodpecker is damaging my home's exterior! What can I do?
The Northern Flicker is a woodpecker found in Broomfield. You can probably hear them drumming on gutters, metal pipes, or siding. The drumming starts in early spring and usually ends by July 1. Drumming is most frequent in early morning and late afternoon. Woodpeckers drum to establish territory, locate a mate, search for insects, or excavate a nest site.

Here are some general tips for avoiding conflicts with bears and reacting to a possible encounter with a bear. According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife, bear sightings are not uncommon along the Front Range, even in neighborhoods and residential areas. In most cases, bears are simply seeking new habitat and will pass through residential areas without conflict.
