The City and County of Broomfield is offering grant support of up to $7,500 to eligible Broomfield businesses to support your efforts to help your business sustain by meeting customer needs and market conditions during our collective responses to the COVID-19 virus. Businesses must be located within the City and County of Broomfield and must have no less 2 full-time equivalent employees, of which one must be a non-related person, and no more than 25 employees.
City Council approved additional funding for this business support program, with a prioritization on community-orientated restaurants and neighborhood-serving retail shops. Applications are being accepted and should include a detailed explanation of how you are evolving your business operations to meet your customer’s desire for safe spaces, increased communication and marketing to inform your current and new customers/clients, and how the funds will be used. Examples of fund uses are increased marketing and on-line information, expansion of cleaning and other safety measures, expansion of to-go or approved outdoor dining, or other related costs. Please note, this program has limited funds available.
The program is intended to promote business success, resulting in employee retention, business and tax revenues, and sustaining business activity. Businesses are expected to reach employment levels of at least 50% of their February 2020 employment after grant funds have been awarded. Limited funds are available.
