[ARCHIVED] PFAS sampling in Broomfield

In 2020, the City and County of Broomfield voluntarily participated in a statewide PFAS sampling program, with non-detect results, meaning no PFAS compounds were detected in our drinking water.  Broomfield’s drinking water comes from mountain streams and lakes (surface water) and is treated with a conventional filtration process.  Water sources that typically have high PFAS in Colorado have mostly been from groundwater wells.  It is also important to note that most of us are exposed to these chemicals through various consumer product uses.
