Friday afternoon the state announced the Dial 2.0 changes we’ve been anticipating, which will place Broomfield at “Level Yellow: Concern” at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6.
On Friday, Feb. 5 the state released the Dial 2.0, which will place Broomfield at “Level Yellow: Concern” at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6.
- What Changes in Yellow:
- Broomfield Back to Business Certified Businesses - Per the state, counties approved to operate a 5-Star Program will be able to allow their certified businesses to operate at one level lower than the county’s designation once 70% of Coloradans 70+ are vaccinated across the state. Broomfield has vaccinated almost 60% of our 70+ residents and is making great progress towards the state's goal of 70% of 70+ residents vaccinated by the end of February.
- The Broomfield Library will continue to operate at 50% capacity, as it was in “Level Orange: High Risk.”
- The Depot and Vets Museum will increase to 50% capacity
- The Broomfield Auditorium will increase to 50% capacity for in person shows and continue to utilize live streaming capacity
- The Paul Derda Recreation Center and the Broomfield Community Center, as Back to Business certified businesses, will operate in “Level Yellow: Concern” until the 70% of 70+ vaccinations are achieved across the state.
- The Community at Large:
- Businesses/facilities that can operate at 50% capacity:
- Indoor restaurant seating, or up to 50 people with no calculator (up to 150 with calculator,) whichever is fewer. Last call will be 11 p.m.
- Personal services and gyms/fitness centers, or up to 50 people per room, whichever is fewer
- Office-based businesses
- Retail
- Outdoor events, or up to 175 people whichever is fewer.
- Indoor unseated events, or up to 50 people with no calculator; (up to 100 with calculator ) whichever is fewer.
- Indoor seated events, or up to 100 people, whichever is fewer.
- Organized sports can proceed in groups of 25 or fwer, excluding coahces and officials.
- Gatherings will remain at ten people or less, from no more than two households max.
- As data indicates that the county can move between levels in The Dial, it is important Broomfield stays diligent and continues to follow the 4 Ws: wear a mask, wash your hands, watch your distance, wait on gatherings.
- The Dial 2.0 updates will also help Broomfield by reducing the time it takes to move between levels in response to a spike in data. As restrictions are relaxed, it’s critical to continue closely monitoring the data and to act swiftly in response to changes in the COVID-19 conditions.
