[ARCHIVED] Enhanced Health Concern Collection To Inform Future Policy

Residents are reporting oil and gas activity in the area may be causing nose-bleeds, headaches, respiratory and eye irritation, and nausea. In response, we are enhancing data collection around reported health concerns to be used to inform future policy.

We’re Listening.

Residents are reporting that oil and gas activity in the area may be causing nose-bleeds, headaches, respiratory irritation, eye irritation, and nausea. We hear you.

In response, the City and County of Broomfield is enhancing data collection around reported health concerns to be used to inform future policy through Broomfield.org/ImmediateConcern. Additionally, a public health nurse will followup on each reported health concern with a phone call, both new and past concerns going back 30 days. Broomfield is also building environmental epidemiology and toxicology expertise to collect data and conduct comprehensive analysis aimed at informing and addressing resident’s health concerns related to oil and gas activities.

The community has been an instrumental partner in establishing a robust oil and gas program, and we strive to be your partner and advocate so please keep in touch by signing up for updates at Broomfield.org/OilandGas or inviting a City and County of Broomfield representative to join your neighborhood meetings.
