The design is complete and Staff is currently working on the necessary approvals with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) to bid the project. Staff anticipates receiving the necessary approvals from CDOT, including their “Concurrence to Advertise” in December 2020. Staff anticipates publishing the bid advertisement for construction in January 2021. Construction is scheduled to occur in Summer 2021 to minimize the impacts to the school.
This project will extend the westbound right turn lane on West 136th Avenue into the Legacy High School parking lot area to alleviate traffic back-ups on West 136th Avenue.
The City and County of Broomfield has received a Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program grant for this project. The grant is facilitated through the Colorado Department of Transportation.
