Ongoing Programs (September - May)

ARF! - Thursdays, 4-5 p.m; sign-in at 3:45 p.m. Kindergarten-5th grade
Our dog friends can't wait to hear you read! Students can build confidence and fluency in their abilities by reading aloud to trained therapy dogs. Bring your own book or choose a library book and our dog friends will listen without correcting or judging. Sign up at the Children's Desk starting at 3:45 p.m. on the day of the program.

Art Stop on the Go - 4th Tuesday of the month, 4-5 p.m. Ages 6-12 years 
The Children's Library and Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art have teamed up to bring you creative and fun art-making workshops. Pick up a free ticket at the Children’s Desk beginning 30 minutes before the program.

Library Lego Club - Ages 6-12 years 
Come and make new friends while completing Lego STEM building challenges. All supplies will be provided by the library. New dates have been added. The activities will be the same for all sessions within the same month. Registration required. Due to high demand please register for only one date each month.

3rd Monday of the month, 6-7 p.m. Register required
4th Wednesday of the month, 6-7 p.m. Registration required
4th Saturday of the month, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Registration required 

STEM with the WOW! Children’s Museum - 1st Saturday of the month (October - May), 10:30-11:30 a.m. 5 - 8 years (Grades K-2)
Bring your family to a hands-on science program where you can explore and learn with WOW! Children's Museum. (Small pieces - not suitable for under age 3). Drop in (registration not necessary).

Junior Book Club - 3rd Wednesday of the month, 4-5 p.m. 4th & 5th grade
Join us every month for a book discussion, snacks and fun! Register in person at the Children's Desk starting one month in advance of the book club date. When you register you will be assigned a copy of the book to read and use for the program. Junior Book Club will take place on September 18, October 16, November 20 and December 18.

The Write Hour - Mondays, October 7 - 28, 4-5 p.m. Ages 9-12 years 
Each week we'll experiment with a new form of writing. We'll write fiction, poetry, plays, letters, diaries, and more! By the end of the month, you'll have a portfolio full of creative work that shows off all the different and wonderful ways to tell a story. Presented by Lighthouse Writers Workshop.

Junk Robots/Animals - Tuesday, November 12, 4-5 p.m. Ages 5-8 years 
We’ll bring the junk, the wood and all the parts, you bring the imagination to build the coolest robot buddy to take home. Presented by The Craftsman & Apprentice. Register

Holiday Open House, Saturday, November 30, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., All ages
Celebrate the holiday season with the library! Enjoy cookies and live music in the lobby and discover fun crafts for children, teens, and adults throughout the Library.

Winter Reading Program, December 1 - January 12, Newborn-12 years
Kids can read and earn a prize this winter! Registration is required at broomfield.beanstack.org beginning December 1. Challenge runs December 1 - January 12.

Happy Noon Year - Tuesday, December 31, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. & 2-3 p.m. All ages
Enjoy a fun theater performance for the whole family! Countdown with hats and blowers at the end of each show. Fun for all ages! Pick up a free ticket in the Auditorium Lobby beginning 1 hour before each show!
