Patrons receive a 3-day courtesy email for items that are coming due. That email will indicate either that the item is due on the original due date or that the item has been auto-renewed (the revised due date will be indicated). Barring “Lucky Day” items, mobile hotspots, and materials with current holds for other patrons, items will be auto-renewed twice, each time for the same term as the original check-out period. Materials should be returned by the due date indicated in the final courtesy email.
