  • Changes in the Children’s Library - Our space has changed due to COVID-19, but we are still happy to help you find materials and resources! Please note that the toys, tablets, and patio are currently closed.
  • Virtual Programs - We are expanding our real-time online programs for all ages. Use the O-6 Years and 5-12 Years tabs below for details. Some programs will require registration through B-REx.com. Check back regularly! If you have questions about how to participate in an online program, please contact us - we are happy to help.
  • Take-and-Make Kits - Help your kids build creative problem solving skills through crafts, early literacy, and STEAM learning with Take-and-Make Kits, available at the Children’s Library desk.
  • Community Scavenger Hunt - Fun for the whole family! Explore your community as you search for different landmarks, objects, and phenomena. Sign up at broomfield.beanstack.org to start hunting! Runs August 1-31.

Story Times  (June - August)

  • Virtual Family Story Time - Tuesdays, 10 - 10:30 a.m. Newborn - 5 year-olds. Registration required. Please note: This is a virtual program and will take place online through Google Hangouts. The Google Hangout link will be delivered in the program reminder email.
  • Online Story Times - Enjoy on your own schedule. Visit the city activities page for new Story Times daily and to join a watch party at 9:45 a.m. each weekday on Facebook or view saved story time videos.
  • Cuentacuentos en español - En línea a Broomfield Library Facebook. Un vídeo nuevo cada viernes.

Special Programs

  • Positive Parenting: Transitions and Challenging Behaviors - Thursday, August 6, 6:00-7:00 p.m. For parents with children between the ages of 2-5 years. Registration required.. In this online workshop, learn techniques for parenting young children and ways to respond to challenging behaviors to create smoother transitions and reduce stress. After attending, activity kits with tools and strategies from the workshop will be available for pick up at the Children’s Library desk. Presented by Alyson Jiron, Therapist & Parent Educator. Please note: This is a virtual program and will take place online through Google Hangouts. The Google Hangout link will be delivered in the program reminder email. 

Ongoing Programs 

  • Take-and-Make Kits - Help your kids build creative problem solving skills through crafts, early literacy, and STEAM learning with Take-and-Make Kits, available at the Children’s Library desk. Pick up a kit for your toddler, preschooler or elementary age child to take home and make together! Individual kits are available while supplies last with new kits being added all the time.
  • Storyline - Call our storyline at 720-887-2317 to hear a recorded story. New stories each week!
  • Online Resources - This is a great time to take advantage of our digital resources! Click on the icons below for books, movies, animated stories and more available through the library website! Some items may require your library card to sign in.
