|Baby Story Time - Ages: Newborn to 24 months (with caregiver)
Thursdays from 9:15 a.m. to 9:35 a.m. and 10 to 10:20 a.m.
An interactive story time focusing on the three "R's" Rhythm, Rhyme and Repetition. Baby sign language and research on social emotional growth and brain development are included in a lively and fun atmosphere.
|Toddler Story Time
- Ages: 21 months to 35 months (with caregiver)
Mondays 10 - 10:30 a.m. or 10:45 - 11:15 a.m. and Wednesdays 9:15 - 9:45 a.m. or 10 - 10:30 a.m.
This 25-30 minute program includes age-appropriate stories, songs, rhymes and fingerplays that help toddlers develop skills in oral language, listening and motor development while fostering a love of reading and books.
|Preschool Story Time
- Ages: 3 - 5 years.
Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Preschoolers will develop early literacy skills, self-confidence, and curiosity through fun stories and activities. We ask children to attend without their caregivers to help develop a sense of independence that will be needed as they start school.

Join us for a wonderful shared experience for the whole family. Age appropriate activities are presented in three segments from younger to older in order to meet the developmental needs of babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Transitions are built in so younger children can take a break if necessary.
|Family Early Literacy Time - All ages welcome but the focus will be newborns - Pre-K
Fourth Saturday of each month from 11-11:45 a.m.
This story time includes books, fingerplays and songs focusing on an early literacy topic, followed by a craft and time to practice fun play activities families can do at home to build early literacy skills.
NOTE: There will be no Family Early Literacy Time on Saturday, April 28. Come to the library on April 28 to celebrate El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children's Day/Book Day) with story times, crafts, dancing and much more.
|Parent Toddler Workshop (Toddlers 18-35 months with an adult) Registration required
Fridays, 10 - 11:15 a.m.
Have fun with your toddler while you play with toys, read and create a craft. Ask community resource professionals questions about early literacy, speech & hearing, physical fitness, nutrition and behavior. The Parent Toddler Workshop is a 5-week program for toddlers 18 - 35 months and their parents or caregivers. Registration is limited to one time per child. Next session starts in April.
|Junior Book Club (Grades 4-5) Second Wednesdays from 4-5 p.m.
The Junior Book Club is a pre-registered program for kids in grades 4 to 5. Join us every month for a book discussion, snacks and fun! Register in person at the Children's Room desk starting one month in advance of the book club date. When you register, you will be assigned a copy of the book to read and use for the program. |First Friday Make and Take (Two years old and up) 2:30 - 4:15 p.m.
A special craft time for children ages 2 and up and their caregivers. No registration is required and all supplies are provided. Come to the Children's Story Room and start crafting anytime between 2:30 and 4:15 on each designated Friday and make two fun crafts to take home! WOW! STEM with the Children's Museum - 2nd Wednesdays 6-7 p.m. Ages 5-7 (grades K-2). Bring your family to a hands-on science program where you can explore and learn with WOW! Children's Museum. Make a science craft to keep so you can take the learning experience home with you. (Small pieces - not be suitable for under age 3). Drop in.
The Write Hour - 1st Thursday 4-5 p.m. Ages 8 - 11 years. Presented by Lighthouse Writers Workshop. In this monthly drop-in writing session, we'll experiment with different storytelling forms. Get a free ticket at the Children’s Desk beginning 30 minutes before the program.
Jammin' in your Jammies Family Story Time - 3rd Tuesday 6:15 - 6:45 p.m. for all ages. Jump into your jammies (optional) and come sing and dance and hear some great bedtime stories. Starts September 19. Drop-in/Pick up a ticket half hour prior to program start.
