Municipal Court

Broomfield Municipal Court is now open to the public.  Our requirements for in-person and virtual court have changed.  Please read:

Virtual Courtroom

If your case is set for trial, you must appear in person and cannot appear virtually.

If you have received a traffic citation that is eligible for early plea offer, but you want to talk to the city prosecutor, you will connect virtually on any device with an internet connection via Zoom (see green button below). Please see FAQ's and court requirements.

If you have received a traffic or ordinance summons that indicates court required you must appear in person (NOT eligible for zoom) on the scheduled date and time indicated on your summons.

Please read Waiver of Advisement  and the Virtual Courtroom walkthrough before entering virtual courtroom.

Online Payments

You may now pay any outstanding fines and costs online. You must have your ticket (citation) number.

If you are paying a default judgment, you are still responsible for notifying the Colorado Department of Motor Vehicle that the default has been paid. The Department of Motor Vehicle may require an OJW clearance letter which may be obtained here at the courthouse.

If you have received a traffic citation that is eligible for the early payment option, you may take advantage of that option at least 14 days after receiving the ticket. Please sign the ticket and mail it in with your payment, drop it in the drop box outside the court building, or pay it in person inside the courthouse.

New: You may now pay your early payment plea offer online. If you do not take advantage of the early payment option, you must virtually appear in court by ZOOM (see the instructions listed under Virtual Courtroom) on the scheduled court date indicated on your citation.

Please note: there will be an additional 2.65% convenience fee assessed for any online payment.  This fee is payable to the service provider, not the court.
