2020 Charitable Giving Campaign
Employees who are interested in contributing to Charitable Giving through their payroll deductions in 2020 can complete the election in BORIS. Completed enrollment in BORIS is due no later than November 15th.
The City of Broomfield is excited to offer employees the opportunity to give to any 501(c)3 charity of their choice through this year's workplace giving campaign in collaboration with Partnership for Colorado. This year we are bringing you an online portal with a larger list of pre-vetted nonprofits under Partnership for Colorado, Foothills United Way, and our very own Broomfield Charity Fund, as well as the option for you to write-in any charity of your choice to support.
- Payroll Deduction - Select the amount you wish to give each pay period. Then click here to be directed to the online Employee Giving Campaign. Register as a "New Donor" and designate how you wish for your payroll deductions to be split between the charities.
- Credit Card Payments - Click here to be directed to the online Employee Giving Campaign. Register as a "New Donor" and designate the charities and amount you wish to give. Include your credit card information and begin making a difference in our community.
Why use payroll deduction to donate?
Payroll deductions are spread out over the year, making it easier for donors to give larger amounts. They provide a dependable source of income throughout the year for charities.
When are donations distributed to the charities?
Partnership for Colorado distributes funds to our charity partners based on your workplace’s selected payout schedule. Typically, donations are paid out quarterly in July, October, January, and May after your pledge year begins.
When will the money begin being deducted from payroll?
Payroll deductions begin with your first paycheck in 2020, January 2, 2020, and will continue for one year.
How does giving through a Partnership for Colorado giving campaign work?
Donors can choose from the Partnership for Colorado vetted list of nonprofits or write-in any 501(c)(3). Donors can also decide how to give. Most employees give through payroll contributions (a few dollars each pay period). But you can also make a recurring donation or a one-time donation depending upon the donation options selected by your workplace. There is no minimum donation. Signing up is easy, either online or with a paper form. However a donor participates, he/she/they are a part of a culture of giving that helps our Colorado be even better.
