Tobacco use is the number one preventable cause of death and disease in the U.S., including Colorado. It causes cancer, heart disease and emphysema, harms reproductive health, and damages nearly every organ in the human body. With grant funding from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, the Broomfield Tobacco Education and Prevention Partnership uses a comprehensive approach to prevent vaping and tobacco use among youth, encourage quitting among youth and adults, and eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke.
