City Council will be considering a potential change to the Planning and Zoning Commission in 2021. Therefore the Clerk’s Office is not including the Planning and Zoning Commission in the general recruitment process for Boards and Commissions in 2021. More information to come!

Review and make recommendations to Council on land use/development proposals such as rezoning requests, subdivision plats, planned unit development plans, site development plans and special review applications. The commission will also hear requests for variances to the Zoning Code and appeals from decisions of the building official concerning application of the various building, mechanical, and similar housing and construction codes. The City Council has the final decision on all land use issues.
