Discovery Lab

The Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library Discovery Lab is a place where students may participate in activities that focus on science or art related subjects.  Each session will offer materials for hands-on learning and directional support from an adult or teen volunteer.  The Discovery Lab is located on the first floor, to the left of the Circulation Desk.

Drop-in sessions are open to students ages 9-18 and are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5 p.m.  Students may drop-in anytime within the scheduled hour (unless registration is required). Check below for the current month's schedule of times, dates, registration requirements, and activity summaries.  Want to explore other Discovery Lab activities on your own?  It's always open to all ages when there's not a scheduled session.

Some of the proposed topics include: Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Human Anatomy, Astronomy, Geology, Soldering, Computer Programming, and more!  Check here often, as our topics are always rotating.
