Spring 2015 Teen Events
Registration is required for all teen programs. Teen programs are for teens going into grades 6-12 and are held in the Eisenhower Room unless otherwise noted. Programs are free of charge. To register, please call 720-887-2360 or stop by the Teen Zone Desk.

Teen Advisory Board
1st and 3rd Mondays, 4-5 p.m.

Teens in grades 6-12 are welcome to join TAB and help plan library programs, submit stories and art for The 411: Teen Zone Newsletter, and make recommendations for teen books, music, and videos. If you are interested in joining TAB please stop by the Teen Zone to fill out an application.

Boost Your Brain
Every Tuesday, 5-7 p.m.

Free math and science tutoring. Half-hour sessions available every Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. in the Teen Zone. Call 720-887-2360 for more information.

Write Out!
3rd Sundays, 2:30-4:30 p.m.

Want to be nurtured as a writer? Join our group, Write Out. We will write, share (no critiquing), and discuss our writing process. Meet in the Teen Zone Study Room.

Club Yu-Gi-Oh: Let's Duel!
Saturdays, March 14, April 4, May 2*
2-4 p.m.

Break out your Yu-Gi-Oh cards--it's time to duel! Players of all levels welcome. Please bring your own deck. Registration is required.

Hybrid, Hydrogen, & More
Saturday, March 7, 2-3:30 p.m.
*Ages 9-14
Explore green modes of transportation, including hybrid, electric, and hydrogen vehicles. Join CU Science Discovery as they bring their test lab to the library.

Intro to 3-D Printing

Sunday, March 8, 2-4 p.m.
Celebrate Teen Tech Week with the Lulzbot 3-D printer. Learn the basics of 3-D design and print a few simple objects. Meets in the Discovery Lab.

Pathways to Parenting: Approaches for Autism
Monday, March 9, 6:30-8 p.m.
*For parents, guardians, and caretakers
*No registration necessary for this program.
Learn how people with Autism may benefit from nontraditional therapeutic approaches.

Pokemon Tournament
Saturday, March 22, 2-4 p.m.
*Ages 9-18
Come prepared for a Pokemon battle. All skill levels are welcome. Want to learn? We'll teach you how to play. Please bring your own deck.

Nanodays Celebration
Saturday, April 11, 2-4 p.m.
Ages 9-adult
Join the Science Task Force and celebrate science, technology, and engineering at the nanoscale. Activities and demonstrations are open to ages 9-adult.

Pencil Sketch People
Sunday, April 12, 2-4 p.m. 
Sketch with artist Mark Fraley. He'll get you practicing quick sketch poses and gestures. Come for a very hands-on experience.  

Pathways to Parenting: Successfully Transitioning to High School
Monday, April 13, 6:30-8 p.m.

As your child starts on the road to young adulthood, learn how to support them for a successful high school experience.

Pizza & Prose: Rebecca Taylor
Sunday, April 19, 2:30-4:30 p.m.

Meet Rebecca Taylor, author of 2014 Colorado Book Award winner, Ascendant. Learn how to create conflict and structure in your stories. Enjoy free pizza, too!
