  1. Children - Cat's Hat Reading Program

    March 16, 2017, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM @ Children's Library

    All children up to age 12 are invited to participate! Kids can read 3 books at their level, write the titles of the books on a Cat's Hat tally sheet and put it in the Cat's Hat on the desk in the Children's Library. Non-readers may be read to. Tally sheets can be picked up in the Children's Library or downloaded from the Children's Library website after March 1. Enter as many times as you like from March 1 - 31. Entries will be chosen at random after March 31 to receive a Seuss-tastic prize!

  2. Children - Baby Story Time

    All ages welcome! This program features participatory stories, songs and movement activities geared towards promoting early literacy and building a foundation for a love of books. Age appropriate activities are presented in three segments from younger to older in order to meet the developmental needs of babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Transitions are built into the program so younger children can take a break if necessary. Join us for a wonderful shared experience for the whole family! No registration required. Pick up a free ticket and name tag the morning of the program.

  5. Children - Preschool Story Time

    March 16, 2017, 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM @ Children's Library Story Room

    A fun and interactive Story Time for children 3 - 5 years old who can sit on their own. Preschoolers enjoy stories and songs that develop early literacy skills and foster curiosity. Asking children to attend without their caregivers helps to develop a sense of independence that will be needed as they start school. No registration required. Tuesdays, 10:30-11 a.m. And repeated on Thursdays, 1:30-2 p.m. Pick up a ticket and name tag at the Children's Desk beginning a half hour before each story time.
